6th Street Playhouse offers two types of need‐based scholarships to families for whom program tuition is a hardship. The fund is meant to assist families with low annual household incomes.
If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price school lunches, WIC, CalFresh, CalWORKs, or other income-based services, you automatically qualify for scholarship consideration. Please provide proof of enrollment in one of these programs.
All scholarship recipients are required to submit a one‐page typed letter to 6thStreet Playhouse at the conclusion of the program, describing how they and/or their family were able to benefit from their participation with School of Drama. This letter may be used by the fundraising or marketing departments to promote 6th Street Playhouse, School of Drama Scholarship Program, or to solicit donations to support the program. You may request to remain anonymous if materials from your report are quoted.
