Deena Burke

Deena has taught and coached voice, speech, text, and dialects at schools and theatres around the country including The University of Delaware (PTTP), The McCarter, The Shakespeare Theatre DC, Center Stage, Chautauqua Theatre Company, The Wilma, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Rep, ACT, The Intiman, Cornerstone, Cal-Arts, The University of Washington, UCSD, and The Old Globe where she helped start the voice component of the Master’s program in conjunction with USD. For 14 years Deena was head of voice and speech for Cornish College of the Arts Theatre Department. As an actress, Deena has appeared with the The Rep, The Old Globe, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, ACT, The Group Theatre, and Tacoma Actor’s Guild. Aside from acting, Deena is an avid cook and baker, and has traveled the country and world to study, teach, and perform the Argentine Tango. She also dances Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba.
