By Richard Bean
Adapted from Goldoni's "Servant of Two Masters"
Recently fired from a skiffle band and in search of work, Francis Henshall finds himself inadvertently employed by two small-time rival gangsters Roscoe Crabbe and Stanley Stubbers. Fighting a mounting sense of confusion, Francis goes out of his way to serve both bosses. But with the distractions of a pneumatic book keeper, a self-important actor and select members of the criminal fraternity (not to mention his own mammoth appetite) to contend with, how long can he keep them apart?
". . . furiously driven as it is by the joyous mayhem of Craig Miller’s masterly skills and jaw-dropping comic presence, this ridiculous exercise in comedic fervor is as satisfying as a good sandwich at the end of a long day." (David Templeton - North Bay Bohemian, SFBATCC)
"If it’s light and frothy entertainment you’re after, with a good dose of healthy laughs, “One Man, Two Guvnors” at 6th Street Playhouse is just the ticket." (Greg & Suzanne Angeo - For All Events, SFBATCC)
The cast and the live band from One Man, Two Guvnors will be hosting a Swingin' Sexy Sixties After Party every Friday and Saturday night following the performance of the show! The Craze, the band who plays during the show and the cast of the show will stick around every Friday and Saturday night for at least an hour after the show to play 1960s British Invasion Rock and Roll for anyone who wants to stay for the party!
The audience will be invited to enjoy some more libations at the lobby concessions area, and can come and dance on stage with the cast and crew, as the The Craze plays all of our favorite British Rock, including songs from The Beatles, Herman's Hermits, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and the Liverpool Five to name a few!
The Swingin' Sexy Sixties After Party is free of charge - does not include price of drinks and concession items.
