Foodies will do anything to land a reservation at New York’s trendiest restaurant.
"…hilarious and touching, gallops along at a swift, almost frantic pace." —Time Out NY
"…[a] sparkling one-man tour de force…very funny and very believable…" —NY Post
Coercion, threats, and bribes from a cast of desperate callers angling to get a table at New York’s hottest restaurants. Their fates all rest in the hands of one man. Meet Sam–an out-of-work actor managing the reservation line. Returning from his outstanding performance in 6th Street’s one-man show Buyer and Cellar, Sonoma County native, Patrick Varner* plays Sam. This devastatingly funny one act follows a day in Sam’s life as he juggles scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities, and egomaniacal bosses along with his own needs–his recently widowed dad and a potential role at Lincoln Center. Amid the barrage of bad behavior inspired by the quest for good food, can Sam manage to look out for himself?
