Space Pirates! Apprentice Company Musical Performance

New Date To Be Announced

Monroe Stage

6th Street Playhouse’s School of Drama students, aged 8-15, create and perform a musical. Working with professional choreographer Rachel Wynne, and Instructor Eileen Nagle, the students study all aspects of musical theatre development and production, and finish with two performances of an upbeat musical.

Space Pirates tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything quickly changes when an alien space ship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates up to outer space. Things go from bad to worse when the alien space ship is suddenly attacked by space pirates! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is.

As we are all dealing with COVID-19, the County of Sonoma has issued guidance that indoor gatherings of 50 or more people, that include people age 60 or older and those with chronic medical conditions (who are at higher risk for severe illness than the general public) be cancelled or postponed.

We believe that the majority of our Space Pirates! audience are younger than 60, so the show will go on. We do ask if you are in the designated age or risk group that you please not attend the performance. We will happily exchange your tickets for a future performance. We are also making arrangements to have the show videotaped, and we will provide that video free of charge to performers and ticket holders.
