Christopher Sergel - Playwright
Christopher is a well-known playwright and former president of Dramatic Publishing Company. His works included the adaptations of To Kill a Mockingbird, Cheaper By the Dozen, The Mouse That Roared, Up the Down Staircase, Fame, Black Elk Speaks and many more. According to Dramatic Publishing Company, “his inspiration and integrity attracted to the company fine writers including C.P. Taylor, Timberlake Wertenbaker,
Arthur Miller, Roald Dahl and E.B. White,” among others, and that “he once said he hopedto be remembered as E.B. White described Charlotte...”a true friend and a good writer.” Sergel died in 1993.
Harper Lee - Author
Harper is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author best known for her novels ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ (1960) and ‘Go Set a Watchman’ (2015), which portrays the later years of the Finch family. In the mid-1960s, Lee worked on and off with friend Truman Capote on his famous novel In Cold Blood, of which he dedicated the book to. In 2007 Lee was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her contributions to American literature. Lee died in 2016.
Marty Pistone - Director
Marty most recently directed You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, featuring the late great Bobby Finney. Additional directing credits include Waiting for Lefty at Stanford University, Stage Kiss, Anna in the Tropics and The Graduate at 6th Street Playhouse, and Into the Woods at Sonoma State University. Marty was a 2018 TBA and 2013 Bay Area Critics Circle award winner for fight direction and an acting nominee. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Paddy Crane Award for excellence in fight direction from the Society of American Fight Directors. Marty is also a five-time SOTA award nominee.
