March 18 - 23, 2019

Directed by Eileen Nagle

Students produce and perform a thrilling musical in one week!

This magical musical called "Giants in the Sky" explores the world of Giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets. But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked up “beanstalk” and embarks on an adventure down below! Listen to the story's music here.

Audition Requirements

  • All students please memorize the following monologue: Oh no, no, no. We’re lost! This always happens when I am with you. You do whatever you want and I follow you, trying to pick up whatever you knock over. You never ask what I wanted and even when I told you, you just ignored me. Now I’m cold, scared and all I want to do is go home!
  • Wear loose clothing and close-toed shoes and be prepared to learn some choreography.
  • Be prepared to sing a short song of your choice, acapella or bring your music – pianist will be provided.
