Holiday 2007

6th Street's Argo Thompson directs Piner High School Drama Club

Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday -

Argo Thompson, Artistic Director for the 6th Street Playhouse, directs students from the Piner High School Drama Club in Craig Lucas' dark holiday comedy, RECKLESS.

On Christmas Eve, Rachel discovers that her husband has hired a hit man to kill her. She escapes into the snowy night, only to enter a reckless adventure that will forever change her life. This surreal Christmas piece includes, among other things, a man named Lloyd and his paraplegic deaf wife, a game show, an abundance of therapists and poison champagne - all of which result in more than just your standard holiday charm.

Final weekends of The Last Five Years

Don't miss the The Last Five Years -

"...the subtle facial expressions and gestures of Alice Grindling (Cathy) and Robert K. Dornaus III (Jamie) which flow like water through the fiery relationship at the center of this drama. Director Ken Sonkin punctuates the poignancy of these words and gestures with splashes of color in the form of movement and dance. And musical director Lucas Sherman’s orchestra breathes through the entire production like a breeze blowing through the open spaces in Cathy and Jamie’s love relationship. Pay particular attention to the violin and cello, which seem closely tied to the two lovers’ heartstrings." http://home.pon.net/kashimba/fiveyears6th.html
David Kashimba - Joint Forces Journal

The Last Five Years plays through Thanksgiving weekend with performances on Nov. 23, Nov. 24, & Nov. 25, and closes the following weekend with performances on Nov. 29, Nov. 30, & Dec. 1.
