Summer Theater Workshop 2008
Youth Classes
For grades levels: K-2, 3-5, 6-8
Classes engage children in the creative process of acting through exercises and games that spark natural creativity while cultivating an appreciation for theatre.
Winter Play
Students perform in a Holiday Production at the 6th Street Playhouse.
Summer Program
Every year our Summer Theatre Workshop runs five weeks, and culminates with performances in the season's opening show.
Youth Ensemble Series - YES!
Our annual after school program is offered at designated area schools, and culminates with performances at the 6th Street Playhouse. Underwritten by the Ruth W. Finley Foundation.
Adult Classes 2007/08
Scene Study
Actors study the craft of acting through working on short scenes from contemporary plays. The course covers the practical and fundamental skills of script analysis, scoring beats, & choosing actions and objectives.
Voice & Movement
The body, voice, and imagination will be trained through a series of warm-ups, work-outs, and presentations. The course will include exploring the text physically and vocally, and learning how to find actor clues in a variety of sources.
Advanced Scene Study
Actors who have taken part in both the Scene Study & Voice and Movement classes may participate in the Advanced Scene Study class. This class will delve more deeply into the study of contemporary plays.
