Partner Programs
The 6th Street Studio proudly collaborates with the Rincon Valley Union School District (RVUSD) to provide trained teaching artists for their Extended Care program.
These after-school sessions serve a diverse population of K-6th grade students across seven different schools, many of whom come from underserved communities and would not otherwise have access to theatrical enrichment.
Teachers aim for their lessons to introduce children to the foundational elements of performing arts, including singing, dancing, acting, improvisation, and much more!
“6th Street Playhouse has gone above and beyond my expectations providing a diverse set of quality theater activities to our after school program. 6th Street has been a committed partner in serving our community and have made sure through their dedication that over 500 underserved students in our school district have access to quality programming. They found talented artists, developed meaningful lesson plans for a variety of ages and helped coordinate the logistics of serving 16 classrooms at 7 schools. Our enrichment program would be less than half the size without our partnership with 6th Street Playhouse.”
