The Producers

Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan
Music & Lyrics by Mel Brooks
Directed by Craig A. Miller
Based on the hilarious 1968 film by Mel Brooks, this outrageous and teeny bit offensive, off the wall, winner of a record 12 Tony Awards follows Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they sing and dance their way through the greatest show biz scam that there ever was! "You could make more money with a flop than with a hit!" This is all Leo has to say to get the greasy, failed Broadway producer, Max Bialystock, to scheming and scamming $2 million dollars from a bunch of sex-crazed widows, using the money to open and promptly close the worst show on Broadway, and then head to Rio with the dough. The only problem is, Springtime for Hitler, their chosen sure-to-flop masterpiece of awfulness, turns out to be the biggest hit on the Great White Way!
