In the Mood
Conceived by Patrick Watkins from text by William Shakespeare
Directed by John Craven
Set in a captured Italian Villa during the height of WWII, Leonora, a tough-minded entertainer, runs a wartime USO retreat along with the daughter, Hero, and a delightfully talented troupe of big band singers and dancers. Romance, comedy and intrigue ensue when a jaunty group of GIs return for a weekend of "R and R." This production features favorite tunes from the Big Band era, including "In the Mood," "For All We Know," "Someone to Watch Over Me," "More Than You Know," "Opus One," "The Nearness of You," "Our Love is Here to Stay", "Come Rain or Come Shine," and "I'll be Seeing You."
