Death of a Salesman
By Arthur Miller
Directed by Sheri Lee Miller
Willy Loman is a traveling salesman who has worked for the Wagner Company for thirty-four years. He is now sixty-one years old and has been taken off salary, put back on straight commission, and he is unable to earn enough money to pay the bills. During the course of the play, Willie's sons and wife are confronted with the harsh reality of Willie's financial and moral decay. Arthur Miller's play is an unflinching examination of the price that the blind pursuit of the American Dream exacts upon the individual, the family and society.

Daniel Benzali to star in Death of a Salesman. The Golden Globe Award nominee and noted actor of stage, film and television, Daniel Benzali, will portray Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Pulitzer Prize winning play.
Benzali was honored with a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for his groundbreaking portrayal of attorney Ted Hoffman in the critically acclaimed television series Murder One. He is one of the few American actors to become a member of the world renowned Royal Shakespeare Company. Benzali’s stage appearances include London productions of Evita as Juan Peron, and the World Premiere of Sunset Boulevard as Max Von Mayerling. Benzali’s television appearances include his role as mob lawyer James Sinclair in NYPD Blue and appearances in LA Law. Benzali was also in the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of Pack of Lies, co-starring with Alan Bates, Ellen Burstyn and Teri Garr.
“ Death of a Salesman is one of the best American plays ever written. Willy Loman is one of a handful of classic roles every serious actor of my generation wants to play,” said Benzali by telephone from Los Angeles. “I am always looking for the opportunity to perform on stage. Fortunately, I have a break in my filming schedule that allows me to return to my first love – the theater. I have always loved the San Francisco Bay Area and its artistic atmosphere. The 6th Street Playhouse has an intimate, but professional setting in wonderful community that supports the art of theater. I'm honored to be playing Willy Loman,” said Benzali.
