Sonoma County Premiere

Book by Eric Idle
Music by John Du Prez

Stage Director - Craig A. Miller
Musical Director - Jason Sherbundy

For the first time on a Bay Area stage since the National Touring company, Monty Python's SPAMALOT is a musical comedy "lovingly ripped off" from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and featuring a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people, SPAMALOT is a hilarious romp for the ages.

'Journey with Us' Season Opening Raffle will take place during the run ofSpamalot.

Reviews

Spamalot is mind-numbingly silly and high-spirited, irreverent enough to offend and inspire just about everyone... It’s that special something that’s hard to describe, but you know it when you see it – a blend of surrealism, futility, courage, death and dismemberment. Oh, and silliness."- Greg and Suzanne Angeo, Sonoma County Gazette

"... it's among the best musicals Sixth Street Playhouse has staged... Spamalot is something completely different, as bracing and funny as a hit upside the head with a shovel."  - David Templeton, North Bay Bohemian

"6th Street Playhouse has another mammoth hit on its hands with its regional theater premiere of "Spamalot." The first-rate cast includes Barry Martin as King Arthur, Trevor Hoffman as Sir Robin, Evan Attwood as Sir Gallahad, and Mark Bradbury as Lancelot. Taylor Bartolucci Deguilio is a standout as the Lady of the Lake. With a large orchestra in the pit, this Monty Python classic knows no limits in provoking laughs—from skewering "Camelot" to flaying every cliché of musical theater. Sets, props, and costumes are all Broadway-quality, as is the performance—a riot of hilarity from the moment the curtain rises until long after it falls. Not to be missed!"- Barry Willis, SFBATC
