Michael has been involved in the Bay Area theater community for the last 30 years, having directed or appeared in dozens of productions for numerous performing arts organizations. His administration experience includes serving as Executive Director for the Petaluma Arts Center; Director of Education for the Santa Rosa Symphony; General Manager at Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma; Artistic Director for The First Stage Company; and Administrative Director for Face to Face/Sonoma County AIDS Network. 

He has, in addition, served as a theater department faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University, teaching courses in acting, directing and stage management. His educational background includes a B.A. in acting; an M.F.A. in Directing; and an Ed.D. in Organization and Leadership from the University of San Francisco, where he is a member of the adjunct faculty in the School of Education.
