Elizabeth Craven has recently returned to the Bay Area after ten years as Head of the MFA Performance Program at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, were she was also resident director of the Clarence Brown Theatre Company (LORT) from 1995-2005 (directing sixteen productions).  Currently, Elizabeth is Executive Director of the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa, Artistic Director of Cinnabar Ensemble Theatre Co. (ETC).   Elizabeth was a founder and Co-Artistic Director of Western Union Theatre Company, which was in residence at the Cinnabar Theatre in Petaluma from 1985-1995.  She held a full time faculty position in the SSU Theatre Arts Department from 1986-1995, teaching directing and acting and directing award-winning theatre productions.  Elizabeth has directed plays at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and regional theatres in New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.  Her artistic life is devoted to the study, teaching and promotion of an ensemble method of performance inspired by her thirty years of work in international theatre.
