Saturday Cabaret with the Riccardi's

...With Special Guest Star Patrick Varner!

"Like a musical version of Saturday Night Live."

Sandy and Richard Riccardi are here to make you scream with laughter and tap your toes to their all-original, all-comedy cabaret. With well over 5 million views on YouTube, their unique juxtaposition of modern, socio-relevant lyrics and tune-smithy jazz piano/vocal arrangements will charm your socks off.

The evening will also feature special guest Patrick Varner, who starred in the hit one-man show Buyer & Cellar two seasons ago at the Playhouse! Patrick will entertain with songs and comedy throughout the event.

Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be provided and there will be a no-host bar.

Proceeds benefit 6th Street Playhouse's future programming.

About the Stars

Richard Riccardi has accompanied such mega-stars as Tom Jones, Mel Torme and Joel Grey. His extensive classical training mixed with his talent for jazz has led him to writing arrangements for Ruth Ann Swenson and other notable performers. He was associate conductor for the 3rd National Broadway Tour of "Annie" and has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet. He is a regular pianist for the "Skywalker Symphony", playing for movie soundtracks and major video games.

Sandy Riccardi's parody lyrics have been performed in seedy bars all over the country. Happily, they have also been performed by Maria Muldaur, Sharon McNight, and thousands of Christmas pageant performers around the English-speakng world. Sandy has performed in over 50 musicals, including many in NYC, but is happiest when creating music with her husband, Richard.

Patrick Varner is a theatre, film and television actor who starred in the one-man comedy Buyer & Cellar during 6th Street's 2016-17 Season. His regional theatre credits include Sunday in the Park with George, A Little Night Music (Huntington Theatre Company, both directed by Peter DuBois); Assassins, Fiddler on the Roof (New Repertory Theatre, the latter directed by Austin Pendleton); Dogfight (Speakeasy Stage); City of Angels, Buyer and Cellar, Sondheim on Sondheim (Lyric Stage Company); Brundibar, or But the Giraffe (Central Square Theatre); Translations (Bad Habit Productions). He received his BFA in Acting from Boston University’s School of Theatre and has also trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
