Daniel Durston* as Elvis Presley
Daniel's previous credits: Million Dollar Quartet (national tour), Flashdance the Musical (national tour), Memphis the Musical (national tour), For the Record: The Brat Pack (Norwegian Cruise Line), For the Record: Scorsese (Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts), Max Schneider (various tours) and Vans Warped Tour. Daniel is currently on the national tour of Million Dollar Quartet and couldn’t be more excited to join the cast at 6th Street Playhouse! Steve Lasiter as Johnny Cash
Steve is absolutely over the moon to work on this amazing production with such a talented group! Hailing from Beaumont, TX, Steve has been touring the country over the last 15 years performing the music of Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Ralph Stanley, Hank Williams Sr., and many more. Favorite credits include Carl Perkins (Performed), Johnny Cash, and Sam Phillips Understudy on the national tour of Million Dollar Quartet, Buddy Holly in the Buddy Holly Story, Dr. Frank N. Furtur in Rocky Horror Show, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Roger Davis in Rent, and Dan Goodman in Next to Normal. Enjoy the show and let’s Rock and Roll!
Nick Kenrick* as Jerry Lee Lewis
Nick is excited to be in his first production with 6th Street Playhouse. He’s revisiting Jerry Lee Lewis after first performing the role with Palo Alto Players and again at Broadway by the Bay (for which he received a TBA award). Other favorite past roles include Sir Galahad in Spamalot (PAP) and Donkey in Shrek (Foothill Music Theater).
Jake Turner as Carl Perkins
Jake began his long history of music and theatre in San Diego at San Dieguito Academy and Palomar College. He also studied at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. After moving to Sonoma County, Jake has been seen in Singin’ in the Rain and One Man Two Guv’nors (6th Street Playhouse) and Spamalot (Spreckels Performance Art Center). He also played Riff Raff, Eddie and Dr. Von Scott in The Rocky Horror Show (6th Street Playhouse 2013, 2016, 2018) and he played Buddy Holly in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (6th Street Playhouse) where he met his current band mates of local rock group Osito. Jake is thrilled to be joining this stellar cast for Million Dollar Quartet about a magical night of music history.
Benjamin Stowe as Sam Phillips
Benjamin is very excited to be working with 6th Street Playhouse again. You may have seen him last in 6th Street Playhouse productions of Fairyworlds!, Masterpiece of Comic...Timing, One Man Two Guvnours (receiving a TBA award for Best Supporting Actor). Other credits include Lucky Penny’s productions of The Crucible, Maple & Vine and Gruesome Playground Injuries, Ondine, Macbeth and Hamlet with WE Players, The Lion in Winter with Spreckles Performing Arts.
Samantha Arden as Dyanne
Samantha makes her 6th Street Playhouse debut! Samantha is honored to be stepping back into Sun Records, reprising her role as Dyanne, after appearing in Broadway by the Bay’s production this past summer. Other past roles include Annette in Saturday Night Fever, various roles in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Kala in Disney’s Tarzan, Gertrude in Seussical, Martha Jefferson in 1776, the title role in Peter Pan and most recently The Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol. When she is not on stage she is directing, choreographing and leading workshops for Bay Area Educational Theatre Company (eTc). Thank you to her family, friends and Nick for their continuous love and support.
Nick Ambrosino as Fluke/Drummer
Nick is a local percussionist. He has played in many pit orchestras throughout the Bay Area. He recently performed in Guys and Dolls (6th Street Playhouse), The Addams Family (San Mateo Performing Arts Center), The Tailor of Gloucester (Spreckels Performing Arts Center), and Always…Patsy Cline (Sonoma Arts Live). Additionally, he is also the drummer and arranger for the local jazz combo, The Ariana LaMark Quartet. Nick is happy to be returning to 6th Street Playhouse for another show.
Shovanny Delgado Carillo as Brother Jay/Bassist
Shovanny began his musical career during his freshman year of high school, learning to play as the bass player of local ska band Don’t Tip the Tweetser. Starting out with Ska and continuing with the groove and feel of alt rock with Osito, Shovanny has had the opportunity to represent Joe Mauldin in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and continue playing alongside the members of Osito.
